FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Clear answers, before you ask.
Choosing care for a parent raises a hundred questions, and most of them are the same ones every family asks. Our four services describe how and where care is received, eleven supports are included within them, and three care levels describe how much assistance a person needs.
Independent, Semi-Dependent and Totally Dependent are our three care levels. Independent is for someone who needs minimal assistance. Semi-Dependent is for someone who needs some help with daily activities. Totally Dependent is for someone who needs extensive support. Memory support is available within all three levels.
Care levels describe how much assistance a person needs. They are separate from our four services: Residential Care, Home Care, Daycare Services and Short-Stay / Respite Care. Each service includes the same eleven supports, tailored to the person's assessed needs.
We assess your loved one with your family and agree the right level together. As needs change, we reassess and adjust support rather than asking the family to move elsewhere.
Explore Independent Care, Semi-Dependent Care or Totally Dependent Care. See all four services and eleven included supports on our Services page.
- The level is reviewed as your loved one changes, upward or downward.
- Moving between levels is planned for, not something you wait for a crisis to force.
Still not sure?
Some things are easier to ask a person than a page. Message our centre coordinator on WhatsApp or come and see the home for yourself. We'd rather answer the question than have you guess.
